TEA CUP TUESDAY # 6

Carissime amiche,

Dear friends,
it's already one week since my last post and being Tuesday we are ready for the great fun of Martha's and Terri's Tea Cup Tuesday. Altough I'm very tired today and all I can think of is going to bed, I couldn't miss joining the fun.
While I was looking around the apartment for something to be shown tonight I realized I had a wonderful couple of Japanese bone china cups that had been given to me by my mother in law some twenty years ago, before the entire set turned into debris.
I love the set. find it so elegant and refined and if you expose the bottom of the cup to a source of light, through the porcelain you'll see the beautiful face of a geisha. A truly pretty effect and two very beautiful cups with their bamboo saucers. I love their turquoise color and the dainty oriental flower bouquets on the inside of the cup. I'm so glad they ended up in my hands, and could make good use of them for our tea cup tuesday.

  16. Hi Rita, So happy that you remember me and made a comment..I am such a bad blogger that I dont really have to many visiting my blog. My fault..I have been taking care of my granddaughter 4 days a wk..so not much time to do anything. But now I will be only taking care of her 2 1/2 days a wk...But still Im lazy about taking pictures and just I guess blogging. Always think of things I could blog about but it doesnt happen.
I read your last post..I also have a made in japan demi cup and saucer with the lady in the bottom of the cup if you put it up to the light.Ive had it since I was a child..and believe me it is really old...dont tell anyone but I just turned 63. I cant believe I have gotten that old. Since you love china dishes I will tell you about some dishes I have. THey Old Hall Ivory ware. The dishes are ivory with nose gays all over them.My mother inhereted them from her aunt after passing..then I got them after my mom passed away. They are beautiful. One of these days I will take a picture of them so you can see what Im talking about.
Well looks like I have wrote a book. So I should send this off. Ive been painting but not much.I have a big cabinet door to paint for this gal that owns an antique shop ..called Wisteria Cottage. I have to paint wisteria on it also. I have done some signs for her before so I have another to do...so I keep putting if off so will have to get at it. Hope you find a new home and hope your job is okay..dont worry about your daughter..things will work out and maybe she will just decide she doesnt want to date him anymore...hopefully Take care...sally
