Carissime Bloggherine,

Hello my sweet bloggerettes,
intermediate school examinations have started here at Shabby Chic Rose and there's a lot of tension. My teenager daughter is quite scared, anxious and tense (oh my, do I understand her. it was like this with examinations for me all the way from elementary school to my dissertation). I was therefore a little uncertain whether I should post or let go "again", but I thought to my self that another week without posting was absolutely a must-not!.
It's all nearly quiet here in the apartment: my chores all done, my daughter is sleeping already and the dog has been administered her eye medication for a minor insect bite.
It's been a tough day at the office. already had my plan to leave on time to run some errands in peace when the boss came with some work which caused me to leave at 7:10... too late for any errand which, much to my regret, will have to wait until tomorrow.

Again the last flea before the summer break was quite a disappointment. It would have been a total disappointment if it weren't for some pretty transferware saucers which I got for 2 euros each and this lovely Richard Ginori teacup which was only 5 euros. It's not so old but it was love at first sight.
I adore large and inviting teacupt with delicate floral decors in soft colors, and this one seemed right the one I needed to have -and also perfect for our weekly apppointment eh eh eh .
Hope you like it. I immediately placed on my antique table in my sitting room. that's a table where I normally place my most delicate lovelies and things tend to sit there for ever.
Enjoy!
I'm so thankful for this adorable appointment hosted by Martha http://www.marthasfavorites.com/ and Terri http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/.
Hurry up and have a look at what Martha, Terri and all the marvelous ladies who are participating this week have to share.
it will definitely be treasures which will make me green with envy, that you can bet.
xoxo

Your teacup, and your post, made me smile. Isn't it nice to have your children all snug in bed and safe? And finding a teacup (or any treasure for that matter) at a bargin price is just the frosting on the cake. It IS beautiful...no wonder it stole your heart!
RispondiEliminaHave a stress-free week ahead and I look forward to seeing what you post for next week's Teacup Tuesday!
Caio,
Jan

I like your blog lay out; it's quite lovely, and that is a sweet little teacup you have there. On stressful days a cup of tea helps unwind just a tad. Take care and best wishes to you and your daughter.
RispondiEliminaHi Dear Rita, so glad to see you found time to post. Tell your daughter that worry is like a rocking chair, it gets you nowhere. Of course, if my 14 year old would worry a little more, he might make better grades. HA! I love your new blog look. Lovely header! I like big cups and your's is perfect for a big cup of tea. I went out to get groceries this morning. It is so hot and dusty out there. Now I have the most awful headache. Being at work is a good thing as it helps the hours to tick by, but being late is not always a good thing. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your week. :) Tammy

Ciao Rita,
RispondiEliminaVery delicate and quaint colours in your teacup. Is it not funny that a teacup can be so appealing??!!
In my surroundings a lot of stress but also relief now as the first results of exams are coming through, so I know exactly how you feel.
My mother brought up 6 children when my father was far away, and today I greatly admire her for always having found time for herself.
Do find time for yourself and for your hobbies and interests! (and we benefit from it by reading your interestings posts ;-))
Bonne sera, Rita,
until next time,
Jacoba
Hi sweet Rita...I totally am scared to death of testing too. Every other year I even hate taking the first aide and CPR classes I have to take and then be tested. I so understand your daughter's nervousness.
RispondiEliminaI love your new teacup.
