MY WHITE WEDNESDAY # 7

***
Here I am, once again, ready for our much longed-for weekly White Wednesday appointment. Perhaps Eliana is right: I will soon run out of whites to post and this worries me a bit. On the other hand, WW is supposed to be a pure fun search for whites to be shared. Can by no means look at it with concern. Right? Of course right!
Now let's sit down and make ourselves comfy. let's lit our white pillar candles to create the right atmosphere and see what this past week has brought.

BIANCO CON TANTO COLORE
Guardate che bellissimi asciugamani antichi finemente ricamati a mano. La mia amica Caterina mi ha permesso di immortalare i capolavori della sua nonna. davvero meravigliosi.
***
WHITE WITH A LOT OF COLOR TOO
Look at these marvelous antique hand embroidered handtowels. My friend Caterina was so kind as to let me take a fes shots of her heirloom. In fact these marvels had been embroidered by her grandmother and she treasures them with lots of love. I love them soooooooo much. Wish they were mine instead of hers - didn't tell her though

Che dettagli preziosi
***
What most precious details. A feast for the eyes
YYY
Ed ecco trovato al mercatino delle pulci l'appedino giusto per appenderli in bagno in bella mostra
***
And at the flea market I found the right chic towel hook rack to hang such beauties in the bathroom

Era da un pò che osservavo dalla vetrina di cannella questa piccola alzatina con la sua bella cloche. Ho avuto le idee chiare da subito. doveva essere il mio porta perle. Che vene pare?
***
Had been looking at this cloche in Cannella's window for quite a while. I had it clear in my mind what to do with it. I knew it would be perfect to nest my pearl necklaces and earrings. Finally decided to run the risk, bought it and brought it home. I'm definitely happy with it. What do you think? It makes my pearls sparkle thru the glass and the morning light adds so much charm to them that I have no regret at all. I did the right thing in buying it. Don't ask my daughter, though. She will say we are sooooooooo full already that this is again the nth one too many !!!
I guess I'm going thru that compulsory urge to be surrounded by beauty, hence spend money and fill the house to the brim.

  5. Rita ~ Oh, how pleasant to see all of the white you have shown today. The madonna and child is incredible - so detailed. Also, cloches are one of my favorite decorating items and yours are beautiful. I agree that the pearls and jewelry is beautiful under the one cloche. Also, I have a small white pumpkin under one of my cloches - love it. We both have similar decorating tastes.

I am a new follower of yours - signed up a couple of days ago because I don't want to miss any of your great dishes!

Come see me when you can....

  6. Hi Rita, you always have the most wonderful photos to share. Everything is beautiful, lovely, heavenly! I love it all! I have crocheted wraps like your's -- but in black, green and turquoise. Our weather is still mild here so they are quite nice to wear with a tshirt and make the outfit a little more dressy. I don't think you will ever run out of whites as there is always shopping to do -- my house is filled to the brim, too, but that's just the way I like it. I cannot imagine living in modern way with everything straight lined. Blessings to you my dear, :) Tammy

  16. Dearest Rita,
What a lovely visit this fine Saturday night chez nous! We are expecting dinner guests in about an hour, but to my delight, I find your sweet comments! Thank you for your words of support; I have this wild idea in my head that I want to keep writing and maybe, just maybe, be a published writer for short children's stories. But for now, I enjoy sharing what is in my mind and heart AND, if what I create can lift anyone away from the sadness that the world hurls upon us, then I have done what a writer (or at least this writer), has the conviction to do. You are not alone dear Rita; I get broken-hearted at times and friendships and the companionship of my dear husband of 27 years are precious to me. Please come over anytime! I hope that I will be able to get my Pink Saturday post ready for next week! I am painting a piece of furniture pink and I hope I can finish it tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Sunday in beautiful Italy! Bisous, Anita
